Biography

Marco Marchesi, architect and founder of MM+, lives and works in Treviso. A graduate of IUAV University of Venice, he has been developing projects for over twenty-five years, ranging from residential architecture and interior design to energy-efficient renovation and high-performance buildings.

In 2001, he co-founded an architectural practice with other professionals, an experience that continued until 2014 and contributed to the development of the current MM+ practice.

Sustainability has been a consistent thread throughout his work, from the use of timber construction systems and CLT to energy efficiency and indoor comfort.

MM+ operates through an established network of multidisciplinary collaborations involving architects, structural engineers and energy specialists, following every stage of the design process from initial concept through to completion.

Alongside his architectural practice, Marchesi has maintained an ongoing commitment to education, research and the dissemination of architectural culture through university teaching, advanced training courses, lectures and conferences focusing on architecture, sustainability and innovation in construction.

His professional experience also includes institutional appointments as a Court-Appointed Technical Consultant at the Court of Treviso, membership of Building and Landscape Commissions in municipalities within the Province of Treviso, and serving as President of the Jury for the Treviso Design Contest.
